Remember if you cancel a carrier then you cancel a whole battle group THIS WOULD BE A MISTAKE

Every President has used aircraft carriers as a deterent to other countries to behave themselves. It is 4 acres of mobile sovereign American soil.

No. We don't want to fight the last war, but aircraft carriers have, and still do, project American power around the globe in a very visible way. It can allow the U.S. to strike targets without having to base aircraft in, or overfly, countries not allied with the United States or friendly to the United States.

The Space Command is brand new, so could anyone tell me what the heck a "Spacecraft Carrier" is? Is this just a thought or Star Trek moment?

With current technology and conditions on the ground, as well as sheer deterrence factor, the presence of a huge carrier bristling with aircraft having the ability to decimate a (large) target is absolutely essential to insure worldwide/American interests. The technology these vessels employ are nothing short of miraculous. They are an absolute necessity in US/world defense!

We need more carriers because China is building many of them. Nothing to do with politics locally but rather globally. Don't blame, instruct!
