In looking at the Illinois exposure map you can see where there are areas of less exposure or no real rhyme or reason

I think it is a shame that the government has to tell people what to do, especially when it is common sense. Wash your hands, stay home if you are at risk, cover your mouth when sneezing, don't go out in public if you are sick. But it has become obvious that the American public has become so self centered or so ignorant of good hygiene and sanitary practices that the government has to pass rules to keep people from infecting other people. Is it too much? Well I personally think it is, but the American public kept saying the government isn't doing enough. We as a people have become too reliant on the government for everything. IF you act like a child, you will be treated like a child. We tell children to wash their hands and cover their face when sneezing, so I guess we have all regressed to childhood.

I think it is going to be interesting to see how some states handle this, especially if it spreads further. Perhaps not this virus, but,in time, if history has taught us anything, an even more deadly virus will come. Let's hope a future generation will have learned more than we have. Viruses don't watch Dow Jones.

Trump supporters mostly are with him right or wrong. Leaders in strong Trump states have been slow to act. Those who have acted quickly are either states whose leaders are Democrats or states which are experiencing higher numbers of those infected with the coronavirus. How sad that every state leader isn't thinking strictly about public health and safety.

This is a virus like the common cold. It's new, so no one is immune. There are many people working on a vaccine to prevent it, but that is in the future. There are no proven treatments. The only known way to prevent its spread is to keep all of us away from each other.

If 1 person infects 2 people today and they each infect 2 tomorrow, and those 4 each infect 2 the next day, in a month every person in the country could be infected. Some of them would not even realize they were sick. Some of them would think they had a bad cold. And some of them would be really sick.

If everyone in the U.S. got sick within 1 month, there would be millions of people very sick at one time. Those that survived could need to be in an intensive care situation for months. No nation in the world could provide that much care.

There is a simple way to prevent this scenario. STAY HOME. Stay home even if you have no symptoms. Stay home even if you don't think you've been near anyone who was infected. STAY HOME. This will give our health care system time to identify those who have been infected, the chance to care for those who need specialized help today, and an assurance that there will be no new exposures.

That is the only way to contain this new, highly contagious threat to our nation and our world.

This is a National problem. We must come together and the Federal Government must take responsibility for solving the problem with the guidance of our scientists and medical professionals.

Our country has had a civil war going since our President was elected. The Opposition party couldn't accomplish what they had promised the Chinese they would do by removing President Trump so business could go back to what they considered normal. If the Opposition party would have been more uniform with our country, the Chinese might have thought slower. However, the Opposition is still using fear to hopefully gain advantage. We aren't supposed to be able to think properly.

For whatever it's worth until a vaccine is developed washing your hands , sheltering at home and 6 foot space between people is good advice . Unfortunately that's all you can do right now ! As for a vaccine there is no time limit when it would be available . It could take months or longer . When in doubt talk to medical professionals , keep informed . There is no cure for this virus at this time . You get bored walk around the block , sit in the back yard . Bill
