VA Secretary Eric Shinseki, DoD Deputy Secretary William J. Lynne III and members of Congress address American Legion members attending the 50th Washington Conference Tuesday morning at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington D.C. Video of the Commander's Call session of the conference will be streamed live on www.legion.org from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 11:30 a.m.

2010 Washington Conference

American Legion National Commander Clarence Hill will call the session to order, followed by speeches from Deputy Defense Secretary Lynne; Rep. John Boozman, R-Ark., a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee; Secretary Shinseki; Assistant Secretary of Veterans Employment and Training Services Ray Jefferson; American Legion Auxiliary President Rita Navarrete; Sons of The American Legion National Commander Mark Arneson; and Rep. Jim Marshall, D-Ga.

Rep. C.W. "Bill" Young, R-Fla., a member of the House Appropriations Committee, will receive The American Legion's Distinguished Public Service Award during the session.
