The American Legion recognized outstanding achievement in journalism with the 2019 American Legion Fourth Estate Awards during the 101st American Legion National Convention at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The recipients in broadcast, online and print categories were: Vickie Nguyen of KNTV in San Jose, Calif., Oriana Pawlyk of Military.com and Cynthia Simison of the Republican in Springfield, Mass.
