Oratorical program. Erin Connor of Bridport, Vt., who participated in The American Legion’s National Oratorical Contest in Indianapolis in 2011 and 2013, was crowned Miss Vermont in April. She will participate in the Miss America competition this September.
Erin is one of three Connor sisters who participated in the Oratorical program at the national level – her sister Brooke earned a third-place finish in the 2010 competition. A banner hangs inside Middlebury Union High School announcing that the three graduated Connor sisters are state champions of the Department of Vermont’s Oratorical Contest.
