Legion vehicle donations reach all-time high in 2021  

Tax-deductible automobile donations in 2021 to help The American Legion assist disabled veterans, children and military families have exceeded the previous three years combined.

From Jan. 1 to mid-October, 1,232 vehicles were donated through Charitable Auto Rides & Services Inc. (CARS). The auction sale of those vehicles generated $915,100 to support American Legion charities and programs.

All vehicles are considered. CARS strives to accept all types of donated vehicles, running or not, including cars, trucks, trailers, boats, RVs, motorcycles, campers, off-road vehicles, planes, heavy equipment, farm machinery, and most other motorized vehicles.
