If everyone at our Legion meeting is wearing a Legion cap, how is it possible for us to “Pledge Allegiance” to our country, given the answer to the above question?
Answer:
The National Americanism Commission has deemed it appropriate for Legionnaires to come out of uniform (uncover), placing the cap and right hand over the heart, and reciting the “Pledge.” To do otherwise would be a violation of Flag Code revisions or regulations of The American Legion.
