Memorial Day 2013 events in Paris

Saturday, MAY 25, 2013 – LAFAYETTE ESCADRILLE MEMORIAL
The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the Lafayette Escadrille Memorial, located in the park Villeneuve. The park entrance is on the N307, number 5, Boulevard Raymond Poincaré Marnes-la-Coquette. Access by the first A13 exit (No. 5) to the right "Versailles" keep right at the traffic direction to the Poincaré Hospital.

Sunday, MAY 26, 2013 – Program of Ceremonies

09h-9h15: Flag bearers and ceremony participants meet at the Champs Elysées, next to the Monoprix store located at the corner of the Rue de la Boetie, for Paris Post #1 bus transportation. Those who have free seats in their car please wait near the bus.

09h30: Departure from bus or car to the Mausoleum of The American Legion in the new cemetery located in Nanterre Neuilly Street Vimy Defense. (Note: follow the yellow sign "S64" Nanterre and "Circular on the Bd-and after exit right" Nanterre "then follow the sign" New Cemetery of Neuilly "avoiding the tunnel of the A14 left).

10:00: Ceremony at the Mausoleum of The American Legion Paris Post #1.

10:30: Departure for the American Cemetery Suresnes (90 Washington Boulevard, Suresnes).

14h15: Flag bearers prepare for ceremony/participants take seats.

14h30: Start of ceremonies with wreath-laying by many civil and military officials.

Around 15:30 (after the ceremony): A reception will be hosted by the AOMDA (Indications of the location will be provided onsite).

16h30: Departure by bus to Paris, Place de l'Etoile.

18h00: Meet and prepare for the ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe.

18:30: Laying of wreaths and Rekindling the Flame by American Legion and other authorities.
