Glen Foy passes away

Glen Foy passes away

We say good-bye today to Glen Foy, past commander of Post IR02 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served country and Legion with distinction. May he rest in peace.

With profound sadness we report the passing of Mr. Glen Foy this morning at 9:23 a.m., in Ennis, Co. Clare. May he Rest in Peace. A U.S. Army veteran whose war began on Omaha Beach on 10 June 1944. Glen is a past commander of American Legion Post IR02 and a regular and esteemed presence at all commemorative events in Limerick. He was also a lovely man to all and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his daughter Frances and son Brendan and family; his friends; and indeed the American Legion community, whose great loss we share.
