TALARC's Combined IRLP and EchoLink Conference Net Report for April 12, 2017

Net Control Station W9WMJ, assisted by Net Control Station K9TAL, conducted the first monthly Wednesday Night IRLP/EL net on *CROSSRDS* EchoLink Conference and IRLP nodes 9735 on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. The net was opened at 2100 ET [0100Z] and closed at 2145 ET [0145Z]. There were 14 check-ins, including Net Control.

Discussion on the net was of a general nature, with a focus on this new day/time for the net. Most of those who checked in offered comments, all of which were favorable with this addition to TALARC nets. Information was offered by Net Control on the status of efforts to establish clubs/stations within Legion posts around the country. Jim, KB8PET, expressed interest in taking the subject to the Ohio department convention when it convenes in July of this year. Bill, NZ9S, trustee for Club Station K9TAL, offered video materials, printed information and general assistance to those who have an interest in raising amateur radio consciousness among members of their post and department.
