Discussion on the net was open, with comments from many of those who checked in. Ken, KN4GUS, a new member to TALARC, noted that he had received his Tech ticket in November and just recently qualified for his General license. Ken also noted that his newly formed post club – WF4TAL -- has seven TALARC members and their first formal club meeting is scheduled this coming week. Don, KA5DON, updated the net on the progress of refurbishing a mobile unit that belongs to his post club, K5TAL. Don also noted that his club plans to expand their weekly net operations to include C4FM and D-Star digital modes. Jerry, KX4JK, reported that he’d made a TALARC presentation to members of his post at their last general meeting and that he and others at his post plan to solicit membership for the Legion and for TALARC by placing ads in community and post publications. When asked of those on today’s net: “Who is NOT receiving the monthly TALARC newsletter?” four TALARC members indicated so. Each was provided, via email, the last three editions of the newsletter and they were told that National HQ would see that the matter is corrected immediately.

The EchoLink Net for January closed at 1300 EST [1800Z].
