K5TAL NET REPORT FOR MAY 1 2019

Year 3, Week 5. May 1, 2019.

The K5TAL net on 80 meters was opened at 6:30 pm (23:30) and had 12 check-ins. Band conditions on 3.829 were fair. EchoLink was in operation but had no check-ins. D-Star via Ref058B was also open for check-ins. The 2 meter net on the 145.11 repeater had 10 check-ins, and 1 check-in from SWL listeners via N4DKD.com. TOTAL: 23. It was great to hear Larry W8LAT from his home in Michigan, and also to hear from Rick W4OZA from Columbus, GA. Rick was one of the original check-ins from 3 years ago. Welcome to Bruce W4WWP, who indicated he is interested in attending some of our meetings, and may rejoin the Legion. Also welcome to KI5DER Joe who spent 6 years in the USN and may also attend a meeting when he is available.

Announcement: Reminder that the 100th National Convention will be held this August, and if you plan to attend or know someone who is going to attend, ask them to represent TALARC and the K5TAL net to all they meet and talk to.
