TALARC/K9TAL EchoLink Conference Net Report for January 11, 2020

Net Control Station W9WMJ conducted the monthly net on *FMCA-ARC* EchoLink Conference Node on Saturday, January 11, 2020. The net was opened at 1200 ET [1700Z] and closed at 1252 ET [1752Z]. Seven check-ins participated in today’s operations, including the Net Control Station.

Announcements were read that included the Legion Birthday special event operations set for Saturday, March 14; as well as sign-up options for American Legion Flag Alert notices.

Some discussion was had by all on the net, mostly weather reports from around the country. First-timer Blake, KN6CRX, reported that he is a member of the Army Reserve and is encouraging others in his unit to join the Legion and secure their Amateur license. Jude, KD2JEC, and Everett, WA3DVO, offered a preliminary agreement to work together for a special Event operation that would use the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis as bases of operation for a possible fall SE.
