K5TAL TALARC Digital Voice Net
Jul 30, 2020
7 pm CDT – 8 pm CDT
Year 2, Week 4

NCS for this week’s Digital Voice Net was Lee K5CUB operating a Yaesu FTM-100 DR through Wires-X. We are finding this platform an incredible opportunity to tell amateur radio operators about The American Legion, TALARC, SAL and Legion Riders.

This week’s discussion topic was: How you are getting into the net, radio type and linking, and what topics you would like to discuss on future nets. For the 3nd week we are finding that the bridge from D-Star to DMR/C4FM has not been working. OpenQuad administrators have been made aware of the issue, and they report they are working on the problem.

Announcements: From July Announcement: the new net every Thursday from 10:30 to 12:30 EDT. Full information on all the Legion nets can be found at www.legion.org/hamradio.

If you have a digital voice-capable radio D-Star, C4FM, Wires-X or DMR, and would like to join next Thursday’s net, all information can be found at www.openquad.net. NOTE: The C4FM reflector can be found at Quadnet-Array, Room 45058. D-Star via XRF 757A, and DMR via Talkgroup 31012.
