Twelve former American Legion Shooting Sports participants compete on a rifle team ranked in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s top 20.

Thirty youth participants will compete in the Legion’s 23rd annual Junior 3-Position Air Rifle National Championship in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The top 15 individuals in both the sporter and precision category will compete in the Legion’s Junior 3-Position Air Rifle National Championship in Colorado Springs, Colo.

2012 American Legion precision champion is Colt Gross from South Carolina and sporter champion is Cody Sanchez from New Mexico.
