Discount offered for Across 2 Wars American Legion centennial tours

Travelers who book by March 1, 2018, can receive a $1,000 discount per couple to join Across 2 Wars: The American Legion’s Centennial Commemorative Tour of historic World War I and World War II sites in France next fall. The eight-day tour with an optional one-night extension in Paris is operated by the National WWII Museum, as part of its educational travel program, in alliance with The American Legion.

The scheduled tour dates are Sept. 3-11, 2018, and Sept. 30-Oct. 8, 2018.

The experience, led by a full-time logistical manager, features expert battlefield and memorial guides at such sites as the Lafayette Escadrille Memorial Cemetery, the Suresnes American Cemetery, Compiegne (where the World War I armistice was signed), Soissons, Verdun and the Douaumont Ossuary, Chateau-Thierry, Belleau Wood and the historic Normandy beaches and cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach where American Legion founder Theodore Roosevelt Jr. is laid to rest.

The tour includes four-star accommodations in Paris, where The American Legion was founded in March 1919, and Reims; VIP access to sites not available through other tours; eight breakfasts, six lunches and four dinners; free-flow beverages with included meals; gratuities; private first-class motor-coach transportation; roundtrip airport transfers for those arriving and departing on scheduled tour dates; and more. Air transportation to Paris is not included.
