Michigan Legion Family participates in Wreaths Across America
Blowing snow and freezing temperatures didn’t stop members of Leighr A. Wright American Legion Post 53 and the Hillsdale, Mich., community from honoring veterans in local cemeteries by placing wreaths on their gravesites.

Wreaths were laid at the Oak Grove Cemetery Civil War Memorial to mark the beginning of the first Wreaths Across America event in Hillsdale, Mich. Members of the American Legion Post 53 family spearheaded the fundraising and organized the event to lay wreaths at the gravesites of more than 1,000 veterans in hope of beginning a new tradition in their community.
