Thank you for visiting the Wellcare booth at the 105th American Legion National Convention in New Orleans. During this exciting five-day event we had the privilege of meeting numerous Legionnaires, hearing their stories and experiences, handing out a lot of goodies, and connecting Legion members who are interested in learning more about their Medicare Advantage options by introducing them to local licensed agents.
Wellcare was also honored to support the 2024 Legacy Run. Two members of our community relations team, Stefanie and Catherine, started in Independence, Mo., with “Ready to Ride” bags, providing all the essentials for the road. The morning of the departure at 6 a.m. they brought 20 dozen doughnuts to give the motorcyclists and everyone who supported this event at Post 21 a sweet send off. Stefanie then met the group at the following day’s stop and had a local ice cream truck cater dessert in Russellville, Ark. The final portion of the ride culminated with a trip across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway where riders rolled underneath a patriotic arch at Post 267 in Jefferson, La. They were greeted with ice cold cooling towels, New Orleans frozen snowballs and a collaborative Wellcare and American Legion challenge coin to commemorate the 1,100-mile journey. This was an unforgettable and inspiring experience for all involved and we are grateful for the opportunity to experience firsthand the impact and support Legion members provide for the Veterans and Children Foundation.
