Winter Paralympics: Sled hockey team rolls in opening game

A roundup of veterans’ success in the 2026 Winter Paralympics.

The 2026 Winter Paralympics are underway and veterans on Team USA are off to good starts in Milan.

Marine veteran Josh Sweeney placed fifth in the sprint sitting biathlon on March 7 with a time of 20:28.1. He also finished fifth in the individual sitting biathlon on March 8 with a time of 37:13.7.

In sled hockey, Team USA defeated Italy 14-1 on March 7. Goalkeeper and Army veteran Jen Lee faced just two shots on goal, while Marine veteran Travis Dodson had three assists.
