Sen.John S. McCain was posthumously bestowed with The 2019 American Legion Distinguished Service Medal. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine accepted the award on behalf of the McCain family during the 2019 American Legion National Convention at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis
