Revitalization slated for Massachusetts

Revitalization slated for Massachusetts

Military veterans in and around the Middlesex County, Mass., area are invited next week for special service sessions at George A. Campbell Post 101, 194 Lexington St., Woburn; and Akroyd-Houde Post 132, 90 Maple St., Marlborough, MA 01752, as part of a membership revitalization effort in the area. National and department teams will be in town to discuss veterans benefits and service to the community.

All wartime veterans in this area are invited to the above locations to learn more about the Legion and veteran benefits. Membership and veteran information staff will be available on January 22, January 23 and January 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An American Legion service officer also will be available all three days at the above locations for all area veterans with claims or other veteran-related questions during these times.

“The Middlesex County area is an ideal place to strengthen partnerships between the veterans and the community,” said Department of Massachusetts Commander Steven Silvestri. “The people here care about their community and practice good citizenship every day. Now, wartime veterans have a special place from which they can make a difference.”
