Yakima, Wash., site for veterans outreach effort

Yakima, Wash., will serve as the site for a district revitalization and veterans outreach effort next week.

National staff and Department of Washington Legionnaires will be available to answer questions about American Legion programs and veterans benefits.

The effort will take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 17 and 18 at Logan Wheeler American Legion Post 36, 1120 N. 34th Ave., Yakima. A veterans service officer will be available both days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs claims and other veterans benefits questions.
