3-county membership effort coming to California

American Legion national staff and Department of California Legionnaires are teaming up for a veterans outreach and district revitalization effort March 28-30 in Eldorado, Nevada and Placer counties. Veterans and their families are encouraged to attend to get assistance and learn about American Legion programs.

The effort is scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 28-29 and 9 a.m.-noon March 30 at Veterans Memorial Hall, 100 East St., Auburn, Calif.

A county veterans service officer will be available all three days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs-related issues and other veterans benefits questions.
