The Highground Veterans Memorial

A memorial to all wars from WW1 on. Was originally going to be a Vietnam Veterans memorial, but has grown to include WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf War. With a meditation garden, memorial stones, benches etc. Also includes the Liberty Bell from the Bicentennial in 1976. Has walking trails and a gift shop with internet access to the store. Gorgeous memorial which will send chills up your back when you hear the Chimes from The Vietnam Memorial called Fragments, or the Tear Drops. Is a place of healing and thought. I visited as a guest with my brother who is also a Navy Veteran , and was really moved by the thought and remembrance that went into the park.
