Kaneville Veterans Memorial

Kaneville Veterans Memorial

The Kaneville Veterans Memorial was designed and built by Herman Weber and Herbert Brewer. Stones for the memorial were brought to Kaneville from the creek-beds and rivers of central Illinois. The memorial contains an "Honor Roll of Veterans", the names of those from Kaneville that answered the call during World War II. The Memorial was dedicated on Memorial day, 1946, and remains the center of the annual Memorial Day celebration in Kaneville.
