World War I Memorial
This memorial was originally located at the corner of Illinois Route 38 and 4th Street, dedicated on February 13, 1923. It was dedicated to "Commemorate forever the loyalty and heroism of those of their number who answered the call of humanity in the World War 1914-1918." The memorial was moved and rededicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 1996, to its current location at 119 Lincoln Hwy (Illinois Route 38). Also at this location are plaques honoring local heroes and a WWI era tank named "Donna."
