"Lest We Forget"

The American Legion Post 501 Veteran's Memorial stands in honor of all Americans that have served the United States of America in times of war and peace. The Soldier's Cross also honors the memory of one of Weston's own fallen Soldiers, Specialist Colby M. Farnan, who fell in combat in 2005 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The memorial stands next to the Weston Mid-Continent Public Library on Highway 45. Visitors entering the town of Weston are greeted by this immaculately maintained memorial. The memorial is the site of the American Legion Post 501 annual Memorial Day Ceremony dutifully attended by the patriotic residents of Weston, Missouri.

Organization Responsible for Installation:

American Legion Post 501 members Bob Cottman, Larry Whitt and Joe Collison. Paul Norman provided the landscaping and upkeep.
