Brenizer Honor Roll
The first Brenizer Honor Roll was dedicated in 1943 and located near the Brenizer Mine In Brenizer, Pennyslvania. The present Honor Roll was built in 1944 and located near the center of the community. The cement blocks used were from the Club Continental (community center) and the eagle was carved by George Loughner. The first flag pole was wooden, but when the honor roll at the mine was dismantled, that flag pole was installed at the community site. In the 1960's the wooden portion that contained the servicemen's names was removed and replaced with the brass plaque donated by The Ladies of the Community Action Group. Services are conducted each Memorial Day weekend and a wreath is placed at the honor roll.
