Veterans Memorial Highway

Veterans Memorial Highway

The Veterans Memorial Highway is principally a 2-lane road traversing rural areas, small towns, and cities in Oklahoma. From the Texas State Line, in the southern region, running north into the central region of the state, Oklahoma State Highway SH 99 combines with U.S. Highway 377. North of Stroud, Oklahoma, in the central region, the roadway transitions to a state highway, which continues to the Kansas State Line. One brief section of this part of the roadway combines with U.S. Highway 64 west of Cleveland, Oklahoma, but reverts to a state highway at Cleveland. The highway honors veterans of all the Military Services in all wars and conflicts undertaken by our nation. The memorial highway was designated in 1989, 1990, and 1997.
