Cumberland County WWII Memorial, Freedom Memorial Park, Fayetteville

The Cumberland County World War Two memorial consists of a trio of tablestone style granite markers setting at approximately 30 degree angles to each other. The center stone is slightly shorter than those on the flanks and has a small globe on top and an incised quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt on the front above a list of war dead. At the base of this stone is a small lectern shaped granite block inscribed with the Cumberland County Seal. To the left stands a stone with a clipped left shoulder and an incised quote from General Douglas McArthur and a list of names.
