Iredell County Veterans Memorial, Barium Springs

This monument honors the armed forces veterans who have served the United States. It is composed of an obelisk-like base covered with a mosaic of local stones. The center of the obelisk contains a rectangular plaque with an inscription. This plaque is flanked on the right and bottom by medallions representing each of the five branches of the armed forces (Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard).
