115th Infantry Highway Memorial

Honors the soldiers of the 115th Infantry Regiment, of the 29th Infantry Division. Emblems of both the 115th and the 29th are displayed on the memorial. The memorial is located in the median of U.S. Route 15 in Frederick County, Md. The 29th Division was a National Guard division called up to federal service in both WWI and WWII. Personnel of Headquarters Company, Company A and the 115th Infantry Band were all housed at the National Guard Armory in Frederick, Md., before and again after the wars.
