Vista Military Memorial Wall

Vista Military Memorial Wall

The Military Memorial Wall was conceived by the Vista Hi Noon Rotary Club to acknowledge with gratitude the service of Vista residents who served in our nation's military and to honor all those who serve and protect our nation ... past, present, and future. The memorial is located along a portion of Vista Village Drive, between Citrus and Civic Center Drive in Vista, California. It is set into a landscaped hillside with a well-traveled pedestrian sidewalk in front and facing a magnet middle school. The wall is faced with black granite, with the insignia of the six branches of the military engraved into the wall. Additional landscaping has been added since the wall's completion. The condition of the wall and landscaping are excellent, maintained by the Rotary Club members and the city's Public Works Dept. Funding for the project was initiated by a Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant from the San Diego County Board of Supervisors and includes a grant from the Issa Family Foundation and other community businesses and residents.
