West Middletown Soldiers Memorial
Honor roll style obelisk monument with names of local individuals who served in the American Revolution, War of 1812, Civil War, Spanish American War and World War I. Includes a section for “ US Colored Troops “. West Middletown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Close to what in the pre-Civil War era was the Virginia panhandle (now West Virginia), it is a known stop on the Underground Railroad.
