Veterans Memorial, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
This memorial was part of the reconstruction project of McEuen Park and made to replace the small veteran marker from 1990. Five service flags and seals are prominently displayed, in addition to the POW-MIA flag and seal. Not pictured (behind the bench) is a large brass bell from the 1950's known as "Pappy's Bell" to honor Pappy Boyington, a home town boy who became a U.S. Marine Corp fighter pilot during WWII. This memorial honors all veterans of all wars.
