This is a black granite monument sitting on a brick patio-area approximately 15 ft. square. The monument reads: "This veteran's monument is dedicated with love and gratitude to those individuals of the Covington-Douglas school district who have, are and will serve in America's militaries. We shall always be indebted to them for their service and sacrifice to protect America's freedoms."

Location:

One-half mile south of the town of Covington, OK on State Highway 74 sits the Covington Community Cemetery. On the far west side is a monument dedicated to veterans from the Covington-Douglas school district.
