Veterans Memorial Plaza and Freedom Wall

Veterans Memorial Plaza and Freedom Wall

The City of Jeffersontown, KY, and American Legion G.I. Joe Post 244 have worked together on the expansion and renovation of Jeffersontown’s Veterans Memorial Park. The hallmark of this effort is the 30,000-square-foot Veterans Memorial Plaza with the 60-foot-long Freedom Wall monument as its signature feature. Freedom Wall was unveiled on Nov. 11, 2018. The 15 laser-etched, glass panels of the wall salute the five U.S. military branches and members of military. Silhouettes of service people, historical quotes and letters to and from combat service members appear on the wall. “Our Veterans Memorial Plaza and Freedom Wall were created as a place for somber reflection to honor the sacrifices of all men and women who have served in the U.S. military. Jeffersontown has a deep legacy of military and public service, and we set out to create a beautiful place of remembrance.” said Jeffersontown Mayor Bill Dieruf. https://radianceglass.com/featured-projects/veterans-memorial-wall/ Scott Erickson Radiance Glass Studio www.radianceglass.com scott@radianceglass.com Toll-Free: 877.222.3301 Direct: 909.980.1010 Fax: 909.980.1070
