Oakland County 9/11 Memorial

Oakland County 9/11 Memorial

American Legion PUFL Michael L. Emerson was contacted by the people who were putting this memorial together for his help. They learned of the other 9/11 Memorial's all over the country that Michael had donated his time and effort to build. They read about Michael's efforts in the May 2013 issue of the American Legion National magazine. The American Legion gave Michael the nickname: "Monument Man" and how to contact him. What they needed was for Michael to supply them with photos of 9/11 and also to write about the Pentagon Crash and the Flight 93 Crash. He was happy to do so. Out of the 16 photos they used Michael supplied 14 of them. Also he wrote the comments for both the Pentagon and Flight 93 that are also on the memorial.
