Five polished black granite monoliths covering a variety of subjects - Bronze plaque with a quote from WW II War Correspondent Ernie Pyle - Tribute to Monongahela native General Carl E. Vuono US Army Chief of Staff 1987-91 - Bronze plaque dedicated to the service of women in the armed forces. Tribute to Monongahela based Company A, 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division (Pennsylvania National Guard) with listings of the names of Company A personnel from World Wars I & II and the Korean War. On the reverse side of all five of the monoliths are a massive alphabetic honor roll of area service members that is not delineated as to when they served the United States.
