Tribute to Our Sons and Daughters who Served their Country with Honor

A monument located in Tecumseh, Oklahoma on the Northwest corner of Broadway and Washington Street in a very nice landscaped area. A vertical gray granite pillar standing 6 feet tall with a black slab of granite on top. The etched lettering on the face of the memorial reads: "Erected as a tribute to our sons and daughters who have served their country with honor." On one side of the memorial pillar are etched the seals of the four branches of service: Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force. On the top of the memorial on the horizontal black granite is etched 4 wars: World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Above the black granite are four sculptured heads representing the four wars. Shrubs, flower garden and bench line the brick walkway. Bricks with the names of contributors to the monument are etched in the bricks.
