Courthouse War Memorial, Blaine County, Watonga, Oklahoma

The memorial is located west of main entrance to the Blaine County Courthouse. Beautiful black granite obelisk stands on a concrete patio with donator engraved bricks. The memorial was placed by the Phillip Clark Ashby American Legion Post 125. The black granite is engraved on all sides. On the front side is engraved the words: "Dedicated to all American Veterans" Below the words an American flag is engraved and on the bottom are the words: “All gave some. Some gave all.” On the left side is engraved an eagle and the seals for the five branches of the military service. On the right side is the American Legion seal / “Phillip Clark Ashby Post 125” and on the bottom is “For God and Country”. On the back is a beautiful POW/MIA seal and the words “You are not forgotten”.
