The overpass spans a rail line, and is .1 mi east of the Waterloo Church of the Nazarene located at 457 W. Waterloo Road. The memorial is .3 mi west of the intersection of Waterloo Road and N. Broadway, and 3.7 mi west of the Waterloo Road exit 146, off Interstate Highway I-35. Prominent signs are located on both sides of the overpass on the shoulder of the road.

The cemetery is to the east of Oklahoma State Highway SH 18, along county road 4500. A green roadside cemetery sign marks the entry off SH 18, and a large “Highland Cemetery” sign is positioned on high ground to the north of the entry on road 4500. The memorial site is located in the south-central part of the cemetery. Enter at Gate 3, and proceed some .1 mi (135 yds) north along the trail. The monument will be on the left (west) of the trail among trees.

In Memory of Our Brave Boys

In Memory of Our Brave Boys

The base has been installed for viewers at the Anadarko Philomathic Museum (formerly the Burlington Northern Depot). It has severely degraded with age and warrants refurbishment to its original glory. The life-sized Doughboy is temporarily housed in the Caddo County Courthouse. It is in good shape considering age but like the base deserves refurbishment.
