Albert H. Marshall

My father, a combat Infantryman, served in the 3rd Infantry Division in Europe in World War I. He was awarded three campaign stars - the Marne, St. Maphael and Argonne Forrest. While in Paris after the armistice was signed, he marched through the Arc De Champ as many thousands of troops have since.

He joined The American Legion in 1919 and was honored with a 50-consecutive-year award from Post 51 in Lamoni, Iowa.

My mother was an Auxillary member for more than 20 years.
