William Judge Jr.

William J. Judge Jr., 78, a resident of Rochelle Park for 54 years and formerly of Bronx, N.Y., passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.

Dearest husband of Mary C. Judge (nee Clougher) for 58 years. Beloved father of Jeannette Richards and her husband Thomas of Tennessee, Mary Ellen Senese of Rochelle Park, Teresa Cravello and her husband Richard of Rochelle Park, Laura Urban and her husband Daniel of Paramus, Colleen Judge of Paramus, William J. Judge III and his wife Christine of Georgia, and Nancy Judge of Dumont. Loving grandfather of Meghan Judge (Ken Kurpat), Christine Bucco (Joseph), Steven Senese Jr., Steven Anthony Colasurdo Jr., Caitlin Richards, Molly Senese, Michael Urban, Jillian Urban, Thomas Richards Jr., Brianne Cravello, Courtney Judge, Kathleen Cravello, Amanda Judge and William J. Judge IV, and his loyal dog “The Prince”.

Devoted son of the late Gertrude (nee Laskey) and the late William J. Judge Sr. Loving brother of Carmelia Bornemann, Trudy Doxey, Rosemary Picha and the late Virginia O’Halloran.

William, or Bill as his friends would call him, was a dedicated Navy veteran of the Korean War aboard USS Sierra, holding the rank of Seaman. He served as past commander of American Legion Post 170 in Rochelle Park. He was a former bus operator of MABSTOA, NYC. After retiring, Bill worked as a park ranger for the Bergen County Police Department, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He also worked as a crossing guard for the Rochelle Park Police Department.

Bill was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. church in Rochelle Park for more than 50 years. Bill was an avid fisherman and boater. His zest for life and joyful attitude were pleasantly contagious. He loved to spend time at the beach with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He was also a passionate NY Giants fan. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Interment was at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
