John T. Clancy

John T. Clancy, 69, of Mount Bethel, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at Hospice House of Monroe County, East Stroudsburg, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Easton on Feb. 21, 1947, he was the son of Mildred (Jones) Clancy of Mount Bethel and the late Jack S. Clancy.
John was a 1965 graduate of Bangor High School. He worked as an equipment operator at PPL Utilities Co., until retiring in 2003.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
John was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Bangor. He was a member of the VFW in Bangor and New Albany, and also a member of the Operating Engineers, Local 542. John enjoyed hunting, spending time at his cabin and spending time with his family. In his younger years, John was a Boy Scout and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
In addition to his loving mother, Mildred, he is survived by: a sister, Diane M. Kimsey and her husband, Paul, of East Stroudsburg; fiancée Judy Koes of Mount Bethel; two nieces: Erin Kimsey, and Meghan Jordan and her husband, Brian; and a great-niece and -nephew.
