William R. (Bill) Callarman

He was the beloved husband of Eileen, dear father to Lynnette Minter (Michael) and William H. Callarman. Dear grandfather to six and great-grandfather to nine.
Bill served in the Coast Guard aboard the icebreaker Eastwind from 1945-1947. He was very proud of his service and loved talking about his time on board the ship, and seeing Newfoundland and Greenland.
Bill was the owner and operator of Callem Tile Service, Downers Grove, Il., for many years. He specialized in ceramic wall and floor tile.
Bill was very happy when he had the opportunity to go to Washington, D.C., as part of the Honor Flight on July 30, 2014. Making it even more special was taking the trip with his older brother Ken, who was also a WWII veteran.
Bill will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity. People always said, "Bill would give you the shirt off his back" and that is a good tribute to the wonderful man he was.
