Vincent D., 85, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, from complications from Alzheimer's disease. Born in Carthage, N.Y., Vinnie resided in New Milford, N.J., for 53 years after growing up in Cliffside Park, N.J. He is survived by his loving wife Rose (nee De Fino) of 57 years, daughter Cynthia Finnigan and her husband William, Vincent Bricca Jr. and his wife Annette, grandchildren Brian, Melissa, Emily, Jack and Timmy, along with many nieces and nephews. Vinnie was a Korean War veteran and retired diesel mechanic from Case Power and Equipment. He was an active member of the Disabled American Veterans Northern Valley Post #32, as well as twice past Commander of VFW Post #4290 in New Milford. He belonged to American Legion Post 170, Korean War Veteran Association #4099 and was a Jr. Vice Commander and Service Officer for Post #2342. Over the course of the years he volunteered with various organizations including New Milford Recreation and Little League and the Veterans Memorial Home in Paramus, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vincent's memory to Alzheimer's of New Jersey, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.
