Kenneth C. Hess

HESS-Kenneth C. 95, on Friday, Oct. 29, 2016, after suffering a massive stroke. He was born on April 14, 1921, the son of Lillian and Charles Hess. He leaves behind his wife of 74 years, Dorothy Boylan Hess, daughters Pamela Logan and Deborah Sharkey, their husbands Jim Day and Kevin Sharkey, plus three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School and Syracuse University, excelling in athletics and academics at both schools. Following service in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, Ken joined Pan American World Airways, and worked there for 37 years. He was active in Whitestone youth baseball organizations, was past Chairman of the People's Alliance Federal Credit Union, and active with the Pan American Retirees Club as well as other organizations.
