Harold A. Soots

Harold A. Soots, 74, of Granite Falls, went home to be with the Lord Feb. 17, 2017.
He was born Jan. 4, 1943, to the late Bill and Ollie Soots. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Blockade aboard II USS Corry DDR817. He later worked as a professional truck driver for Broyhill Furniture Industries for 35 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Walter A. Soots.
Harold is survived by his wife, Lula Soots, of 54 years. His sons David and wife Kristy of Hickory, Mark and wife Melissa of Lenoir, and Charles “Chris” of the home. Four brothers: Bradley, Ray, Charles and A.V. And two sisters, Maggie and Katrina. His grandchildren Tyler, Jordan, Victoria, Derek, Autumn, Peyton, and one great-grandson, Stefan, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
