Allen Dale "AJ" Jamison

Allen Dale (AJ) Jamison died on Dec. 7, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. He fought a good fight!
AJ was born on Sept. 8, 1963, to Dale and Geraldine Jamison in Clarinda, Iowa. He grew up in the farming community of Coin, Iowa. He graduated from South Page in 1982. He attended Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa, graduating in 1983 with an Automotive Certificate. While in Creston, AJ met and married Linda McIntire Jamison on Sept. 15, 1984.
AJ entered United States Air Force basic training in January 1985. His first duty station was Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. While in San Antonio, daughter Ashley was born in 1986. From there they traveled to RAF Mildenhall, England, where son Alex was born in 1990. Onward to MacDill AFB, Tampa, Fla., followed by Lajes Field AFB, Azores. Next was Hurlburt Field AFB, Florida, and then finally on to Mountain Home AFB, Mountain Home, Idaho. AJ also spent time in Honduras, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Sicily. He retired from the Air Force in 2007. During his time in the Air Force, AJ was active in squadron sports and other squadron activities.
After the Air Force, AJ worked at Performance Chevrolet, Mountain Home Auto Ranch and Wal-Mart.
Other activities included his involvement with motorcycles. He was a road captain for Gunfighters Motorcycle Advisor Council, vice president and road captain of the Mountain Home Chapter of the Idaho Motorcycle Club, chairman of the State Idaho Motorcycle Club, and was involved with the Mountain Home Chapter (Post 101) of the American Legion Riders.
Recently, he became involved with Circle of Hope, Relay for Life, Camp Rainbow Gold and Idaho Make-A-Wish.
AJ is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Ashley Christopher (Kent), and son Alex Jamison (Terah) plus grandchildren Ethan Cash, Adalie Jamison and Vincent Jamison, all of Mountain Home, Idaho. He is survived by his parents Dale and Geri Jamison of Decatur, Texas, sister Pam Shrull (Randy) of Decatur, sister Diane Buchli (Ray) of Fulton, Mo., as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, special friend Marcella Trueba (Paul) and many other friends.
AJ was preceded in death by grandparents Glen and Lois Jamison, grandparents Willard and Laura Nell Blessing, aunts, and a cousin and her family.
